Is veoHMO accredited by the NHIA?
Yes. veoHMO is licensed by the National Health Insurance Authority of Nigeria (NHIA accreditation #VEO-HMO-2014-NG) and operates under Nigerian insurance regulations.
How quickly can I start using my plan?
Activation is same-day for individuals and 48–72 hours for corporate groups. Your digital card is live before you finish signing up. Plastic cards arrive within 5 working days in Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt.
Do I need a referral to see a specialist?
On Essential, Premium, and Corporate plans, no referral is needed for in-network specialists. Lite plan requires a GP referral for some specialities.
Can I keep my current doctor?
If your doctor practices at any of our 1,800+ accredited hospitals, yes. Search by their name on the providers page to confirm.
How do I download my digital card?
After enrolment, the digital card is in your member dashboard at members.veohmo.ng. You can also save it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
Is there an app?
Yes — veoHMO is on iOS and Android. Find a hospital, book a telemedicine call, view your benefits, and download claim receipts from one place.
What if I move to a different state?
Coverage works in all 36 states and the FCT — no change needed. Update your home address in the member dashboard so we can route emergencies correctly.
