Is veoHMO accredited by the NHIA?
Yes. veoHMO is licensed by the National Health Insurance Authority of Nigeria (NHIA accreditation #VEO-HMO-2014-NG) and operates under Nigerian insurance regulations. We file every claim through accredited NHIA-approved providers.
How quickly can I start using my plan?
Activation is same-day for individuals and 48–72 hours for corporate groups. Your digital card is in your phone before you finish signing up. Plastic cards arrive within 5 working days in Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt; 10 working days nationwide.
Which hospitals can I use?
Over 1,800 accredited hospitals nationwide — including LASUTH, R-Jolad, Reddington, Lagoon, Lily, EKOCORP, Cedarcrest, Wellington Maternity, and most state teaching hospitals. Search by your address on our find-a-provider page to see the closest options.
Does the plan cover pre-existing conditions?
Hypertension, asthma, type 2 diabetes, and most managed chronic conditions are covered on Essential, Premium, and Corporate plans after a 30-day waiting period. Acute episodes are covered immediately.
How does the family plan work?
One Essential or Premium plan covers up to 5 dependents — a spouse and up to 4 children under 18. Each member gets their own card and digital profile. You can add or remove dependents at any time from your dashboard.
What about emergency care outside Nigeria?
Premium and Corporate-Premium tiers include international medical evacuation through our partner network, with cover up to ₦50,000,000 per event. Standard tiers cover emergency stabilisation in West Africa.
Can I see a doctor without going to a hospital?
Yes — telemedicine is included on every plan tier. Open the veoHMO app or send a WhatsApp to our care line, and a Nigerian-licensed doctor will call you back in under 6 minutes (averaged across 90 days).
